To make the poster for Jan van Toorn's 2008 lecture and workshop, I remixed last year's poster — a project by my colleagues Isaac Gertman and Mary-Jo Valentino.
In his thesis work, Isaac (RISD GD MFA '07) focused on the use of remixing throughout graphic design theory and practice. Feedback loops can found at work throughout the process of remixing, and as such, this poster was a natural intersection of themes in my work, Isaac's work, and Jan van Toorn's dialogic method.
